Take the fukusa with your right hand while holding the chashaku.

Re-hold the fukusa while holding chashaku in the last two fingers of the right hand. The fukusa is in front of the chashaku.

Purify the chashaku with two strokes.

Place the chashaku on the right rim of the tea bowl.

Take the natsume with your right hand and move it to the original position.

Move the fukusa in your left hand to above the kensui and dust the tea off with your right hand into the kensui in two strokes.

Re-hold the fukusa in your right hand and place it on the lid of the tetsubin.

Hold the knob of the lid between the fukusa and open the near side.

Turn the fukusa over from right to left onto the left palm so that the right thumb is underneath.

Tuck the fukusa into your obi.
